RECENT INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS;

As part of her build up for the Junior World Champs, Moira de Villiers (Nippon Judo Club) has been competing recently at a number of international events and attending the training camps that accompany them. Moira competed in the Jikji Cup in Seoul, Korea where she gained a bronze medal. Since then she has competed in two EJU Junior  “A” tournaments, losing her first round match in the German Open in Berlin, but then following up with a much better performance in the Turkish Open in Instanbul last weekend. Moira lost her first round by Yuko to the eventual winner, but followed up with 3 wins by Ippon, defeating her opponent from Turkmenistan to gain another Bronze medal. Congratulations Moira – a great confidence booster for the Junior Worlds.
